This is our new kitty we got right before Thanksgiving, Her name is Catson "Tater" she is full of energy and loves to wake you up earlier the the kids....lol! Does not like the snow! Found that out fast.

I just wanted everyone to know I have made a blog about Bubby and dealing with his aspergers, so if anyone wants to check it out it's www.bubbyandaspergers.blogspot.com I will try to do a better job with keeping up with both blogs. We just thought it would nice for everyone to get a better view on what we are doing with him. I am not a writer by all means but it feels good to be able to write about things. Snow Day

Everything is going great for the Spies family here is Colorado Springs. The weather is taking some getting use to but we are dealing. The kids have a snow day today so we are just enjoying the day as it comes. They want to go out and play but I think we will wait a bit longer until it stops blowing so bad. Tommy is working a lot of hours due to them having a gunnery the past week and it will go until 16TH. I do believe the 12 hour days are harder here then when we were else where. But he enjoys his job and does it to his best ability so I guess if he does not complain why should I. (except never getting to see him, it is better then him being gone and not getting to sleep at home) We had a great visit with Butch, Ellen and Lee Ann and the kids for Thanksgiving. We will be going to Greeley for Christmas dinner on the 26ST. We have decided to let the kids have their Christmas here at home. But will go visit for the day in Greeley.
Time is going by super fast since being here, it's hard to believe the year is almost over with. I'll be glad for the new year to come. This has been a long year for us all. Jonathan is doing great with his new doctors here in Colorado so that was a blessing to us to get reassigned here. I do believe it's what is for the best. Hannah is doing wonderful as always. She is still ours social one. She is growing up way to fast in front of our eyes. We are very proud of them both, they do make life more interesting. I stay pretty busy between running to appointments for Jonathan and trying to keep up with everything else that is needed to make the day go smoothly. But at the end of the day when everyone is asleep and happy in dreams it makes it all worth it.

Things are going well here in The Springs, we are getting into the swing of things very well. Time has gone by super fast since getting here. I think Tommy really likes his job. I'm very happy he is liking what he does. Can't believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Lee Ann and the kids are coming for dinner and we found out Butch and Ellen will be here as well. We were together last year for Thanksgiving so another good time with family. My ankle has healed up very well and I think all my shoes fit again. The kids are liking school, there are a lot of things for them to do here. We have seen friends that live here in Colorado and have plans with a few others. helps keep us out of trouble. :} We are on another count down for Tommy leaving, that we are not so happy about but this is the Army! I wont write when he leaves but we get the start of a new year together. And hopefully the kids birthday. I really pray that this is the last one. I thought three was the charm so I guess it must be the fourth with us. I will post the kids school pictures tomorrow, they are on the other computer so I will try to remember them. We hope everyone is doing well.

We have moved in.....

Well the Spies family has gotten settled in, we are still unpacking a bit at a time. We are liking it here. Seems the kids are really enjoying it here. We love the school , once again they can walk there. And the Middle school for next year is also right behind us so they will walk again then. We got two new member's of our family, a nine month old kitten name Friday, the kids and Tommy named her. We also have a dog name Cody, he came with the name. :] We are happy to be here and look forward to all the things we will get to do. Tommy is going to his company tomorrow so we will see how that goes. It was a very fast move and we had orders in hand and moved two weeks later. It has changed so much since we were here 15 years ago. Still as amazing as it always was. It is so nice to wake up and go out the door and see the mountains first thing. It never gets old. I still have more pictures to post so hopefully I'll get around to it this week while the kids are at school and Tommy is at work. Along with everything else we need to get done. But it will all get done, just may take a while. We hope everyone is doing well and hope to hear from you all soon.

This is a great doggy we got, he's a year and a half and weighs 77 pounds, and is a gentle lap dog. He likes to play...all the time! He picks rocks up to bring them to you if you don't have his favorite toy out to play with.

Kids first Dance

The kids had their first school dance ever, it was for all the 5Th graders on post, it was also the costume party. They had a lot of fun, so did Tommy and I.....boys on one side girls on the other. No dancing at all! Love it.
