Just wanted to say hi!

Hello everyone, I hope all is going well and everyone is having a great week. We have had a nice week and looking forward to the weekend. Tommy has called every day this week which has been terrific! He calls before the kids go to school and they get so excited to be able to talk to him. They are having much better days, I hope it doesn't end anytime soon. He's still in Taji and is bored and wants to get back to his base and start his new job. He is no longer in A CO so I will get the new address out to you as soon as I can. I'm sure he is going to miss his old unit he's been with them since we have been here and that's almost six years. Spring Break starts in two weeks and we are still up in the air as to what we want to do. It looks like it may be VA for a few days. The kids will get the chance to see some of my family and we will get to Busch Gardens and do other things. We have plans for the weekend and hope that everyone else enjoys theirs. Take care. Happy Easter!

We just want to tell everyone Happy Easter and tell you all we are thinking of you. The kids and I didn't do as planned this weekend so I have no pictures to post,bu still have some from R&R. Talked to Tommy today and he is doing well, he's in Taji for a few weeks so he's enjoying the change up a bit. He'll be going back to a new job so lets just hope he enjoys that as well. Take care. We hope everyone enjoys the pictures we posted, we have more and will try to get them posted as soon as we can. I got to speak with Tommy again today and it was great. It seems to make the days go by so much better talking with him. We are going to the zoo on Friday so I will take some pictures and post them this weekend. We are going to my sister's Rebecca's house and going from there. The kids have the day off school so I thought it would be nice to get them out of the house. Our time is going by nicely so I think the next four months should go a lot nicer then the first 10. Take care and let me know how everyone is doing. With our love Tommy, Sara, Jonathan and Hannah

Tommy called and is getting back into the swing of things and really enjoyed his time home with us. We are planning another trip when he's here in August but we are not sure where yet. We would like to sneak away for a nice weekend alone when he gets home. The trip to Disney was nice but not much alone time. Then when we got back I got the flu the last three days he was home and that put a damper on things. We will know by then where we will be headed for next, we have some idea but nothing in stone yet. We will be moving around December because they have a ninety day hold on them when they return to the states. At least that's what we are being told. Six years here is long enough and we would really like to get somewhere that we can be together for more then a year and half. Three deployments in five years is more then we care to do. This one is the hardest yet but we are getting closer and closer to the end. The kids and I have plans to stay busy the next five months to get this over with. School goes longer this year so that will help out a lot. Thanks everyone for everything they have done for us we really appreciate it. Please keep Tommy in your thoughts and prayers

I talked to Tommy this morning he made it back to his base safely. I still have a lot of pictures to post and hopefully will get that done before to much longer. Enjoy what we have Posted so far.

Good Bye

Today was our Good Bye day. It was a lot easier then I thought it would be but still hard to take. The kids did a great job up until the last Good Bye. There were tears but we know that we have made it over the hump and it is all down hill from here. Tommy goes back to a new job and hopefully will be getting his new rank soon. We got a call from him today while he was in Atlanta and he was going to just relax and wait for the next leg of his flight. Our good friend came home the same time he did so it's nice that he doesn't have to fly back alone. He'll call again when he gets to Kuwait so I'll keep everyone updated. I want to thank everyone for their support and love they have given us during this deployment I don't know how I would of made it without all of you. It means a lot to Tommy and myself. I feel that his 18 days of R&R has given me more strength that I needed to get through the next four to five months that lays ahead of us. I think we both needed the time together and to just be that family again that we both miss so much. No one ever said the Army life was an easy one but it's what we have chose and will do our jobs until the end. We will just do things a little different this half of the deployment and make things better for all of us. Once again thank you everyone for all your support and please keep Tommy in your prayers.
