Victory Cigar !!!!!

While Tommy and Timmy were in Iraq Tommy decided to have a cigar with Timmy on Saturday nights, even if it was just a few times he seemed to enjoy it. So with tonight being Saturday, they had a Victory Cigar! They made it safely home to us. Thank you both for your service. I appreciate it.

Well it seems like most of our guys are home now, Which feels great. But our good friend and cook out buddy is home as well. Timmy got home on Tuesday and I know he is very happy to be back with his family. It's nice to be able to look back at this deployment and realize we did what we had to do to make it and it is over with! There was good days and bad days but with the help of a great family and wonderful friends all is well again!! I just want to say we are glad you are home Timmy, And Irma I'm so glad you have your hubby back and I just want to say "Fire up that grill, Timmy". I like my meat........very well done.

Well Tommy is officially on leave.......YES! He has only been doing very short days since being home but it's nice knowing he does not have to report anymore, well at least until leave is over with. The kids are staying with my brother and his family this weekend which means Tommy and I are going to get much needed time alone. I am so excited to just be able to enjoy him alone for a few days. We are not sure what we are going to do but I'm sure we will take the time and really enjoy it. I can't remember the last time we had alone time. We love the kids but some times you need a little break. I will post as we do things. Take care.

Trains, Trains and more Trains

We went to a train museum yesterday and had a nice time. We are really enjoying Tommy being home.

Jonathan and Hannah

You can tell it's killing Hannah to be touched by her brother! They do love each other.

We went bowling the other day and had a great time. Jonathan had a friend with him so he enjoyed it a lot. Tommy starts leave this week, still don't know what we are doing! I think we will just do things around town that we have been wanting to do before we move. We have a lot to do in the house as well, Tommy has been home long enough to start his honey do list!!!!! Hope all are doing well.

Just an update

Hello Everyone, I hope all is well with you. We are enjoying are time together as a family and trying to get a schedule back on track. I kinda let things slip a bit while Tommy was gone. But you know as well as I do that happens when you don't have that second adult backing you up. We went for a family bike ride last night and it was great. Well Tommy ran while we rode, his bike just got here but no helmet so he was happy with running. That he enjoys a lot. The kids are real happy to have him home, as well as I am. He has day two today of his ten days of classes. He was off by 11:00 yesterday and should be home about 12:00 today. We are going to take leave after the ten days and boy am I looking forward to it. We are still up in the air about where we will be going but as long as we are together any place will be fine with me. Tommy on the other hand wants to go no where that there is sand. I wonder why! So we are looking at the mountains or some where that is with a lot of trees. The kids are full of ideas but they will be happy no matter what we do. Well I hope all is doing well and we will chat with you soon.

July 4TH

We had a cook out on the 4TH and it was great! We normally cook out every weekend so it was nice just jumping back into it. Tommy loves to cook on the grill and I have to say is very good at it. We hope every one had a nice weekend and enjoyed their 4Th.

Daddy is Home

Back in their favorite spot, Daddy's lap!

Welcome Home Daddy!!!!!

Well we are getting back into a routine now and things are starting to get back to where they were when this deployment started. But we all know it does take some time to get back into the swing of things. Tommy has been off since he got home and it has been great. He goes back on Tuesday, but they will be only half days, if that. They have to do some classes for ten days then he will be taking some leave. Much needed leave! We are still not sure what we are going to do but as long as we are together that's all that counts. It's great that the kids are on summer brake because they are getting a lot of daddy time in. Tommy's folks were her for his home coming as well. We would like to thank everyone for all the welcome home calls, e-mails and visits.

Update

Hello All, Well I just wanted to update you on what I know. Tommy emailed me about 9:30 this morning and said he was in Ireland and would be seeing us soon. Still no would on what time they arrive. The flight tracker still says 7:50 PM so we will just have to play it by ear. The kids and I have all the house signs and flags up so now it's just a waiting game. Enough to drive anyone nuts. I'm pacing and just waiting and thought I'd get a nap in, that's not going to happen. lol! I just want him home! I'll keep you updated. Love the Spies Family
